At Treks Morocco we arrange day trips for those who are visiting Morocco for a short amount of time. We want them to use their time wisely and enjoy all the beauty Morocco has to offer.
Our trips include a day in Essaouira, famous for its bright and breezy Atlantic coast line. This laid back, enchanting seaside town is the perfect escape from the energy of Marrakech. The medina, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001 is a popular tourist destination and famous for its number of riads. Essaouira is also renowned for its artisan industries, most notably its inlaid cabinet work. Also a popular site for block busters.
Also, on offer is a day trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls. The Ouzoud boasts the highest waterfalls in North Africa. Coming from the word ‘olive’, the waterfalls are surrounded by olive trees adding the magic of the place. Travellers will be able to see the picturesque Berber villages as well as the dramatic Ouzoud falls on this full day excursion.
For those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, the Ourika Valley provides beautiful scenic hill views as well as rushing rivers. Temperatures are cooler in the Ourika Valley and offer a chance to refresh and reflect with a backdrop of stunning waterfalls and Berber homes.
A different type of day trip we offer is to the Ait Benhaddou. The Ait Benhaddou is another UNESCO World Heritage site, this time famed for its earthen buildings surrounded by high walls. It is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat and features houses crowded together within defensive walls.
