Geo Park M’goun

For the adventure lovers, this 6-day trek to the M’goun Massif is the perfect escape from busy life. A hidden gem Morocco, the M’goun Massif is one of the most popular trekking areas . Located in this UNESCO GeoPark is Jebel M’Goun, the second highest peak in North Africa and one of Morocco’s sacred mountains. Formed of largely eroded sandstone and limestone, it is dramatically beautiful, with more vegetation than other ranges in the area.

Discover dinosaur foot prints which date back to the Jurassic period whilst trekking along deep, colourful and dramatic gorges which separate high and thrilling ridges and escarpments.

In the M’goun Massif trekkers can walk through violently cut gorges, barren slopes of scree and forested valleys and visit remarkably unspoilt Berber villages.

Be prepared that this can be a tough walking experience, through remote mountains, please come prepared.
