Highlights of Morocco

Discover the imperial cities of Morocco and explore all the highlights of this beautiful country. From high walled Kasbahs to romantic sunsets and undulating sand dunes this really is an adventure for everyone.

Over the 8-day tour, travellers will be shown the highlights of Morocco by expert tour guides. The guides will take travellers back in time on a journey through the country’s extensive history.

A camel ride to watch the sunset at Erg Chebbi is one such highlight. Erg Chebbi is one of Morocco’s several ergs. An erg is a large sea of dunes formed by wind-blown sand. In places the dunes of Erg Chebbi rise up to 150 meters from the surrounding hamada (rocky desert).

The tour begins in the beguiling city of Casablanca. Located in the central western part of Morocco, Casablanca is the country’s industrial hub, where Moroccans come to seek their fortunes. The city is populated by beautiful Moorish buildings, which combine French colonial design with traditional Moroccan style. Once a Pirates Lair, Casablanca is now a forward-looking city full of urban sophistication.

The tour ends in Marrakech, one of the great cities of the Maghreb and founded almost a thousand years ago. Situated on the edge of the Sahara Desert, this bustling city is full to the brim of street entertainment, shopping and local living. Famed for its pink pise palaces and framed by the snow-capped mountains of the High Atlas, the souks and street entertainment of Marrakech are renowned all over the world. Be prepared to be amazed by snake charmers, scrubbed down in the local hammams and absorbed by the healthy mixture of European, African and Middle Eastern culture.
