1 Day Road Bike Tour Cycling The Atlas Mountains From Marrakech

Your guide will brief you on what you can expect and outline their expectations to ensure you get the best day Hop onto the minibus for a 36km drive south into the Atlas Mountains. You’ll leave behind the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and see a quieter, more natural side of Morocco For the first 10kms of the day, you’ll cycle along the banks of the Ourika river Then, the road leaves the lush valley and starts snaking upwards towards the west.

For the next 14kms, the road climbs steadily along the mountainside. Gently, you will gain altitude and also some impressive views across the Atlas Mountains.

There are Berber villages dotted across the landscape as well that you’ll be able to see. After reaching the highest point of the day at the Tizi n'Tadmamt (1813 meters above sea level), there is a more relaxed section that follows the mountain’s contours. From here, you’ll have superb views stretching towards the Haouz Plains into the north. After Sidi Fares, you’ll enjoy a thrilling 10 kms downhill section towards Asni. Depending on how you feel, you can either finish cycling in Asni or cycle the last 15 km to reach Tahnaout.
